Suzanne Ibrahim is an author and journalist from Damascus, Syria. She has written and published a number of books, including collections of short stories and poetry, focusing on topics, such as women's role in society, the human condition, war, freedom, love, and Sufism. Her works have been translated into several languages, including French, Swedish, Catalan, Persian, Spanish, and English.

Ibrahim holds a degree in English Literature from Homs University (formerly al-Baath University). In Syria, she worked as a journalist for a range of newspapers and media outlets. Throughout her career, Ibrahim was closely monitored and questioned by the Syrian regime and her work was regularly censored. She was also targeted by rebel groups.

Between 2018 and 2020, Ibrahim was the writer in ICORN residence in Östersund, Sweden. During her ICORN residency, she was awarded a scholarship from Natur & Kultur for her literary work and published her first novel När vinden exploderar mot min hud, documenting everyday life during the war in Syria.
