The Roissy-en-Brie Poetry Prize is dedicated to raising the profile of writers who have been forced to leave their countries and regions of origin because of persecution. Its mission is to preserve and promote the languages and voices through which these writers express themselves.
This year, the jury praised Tahmasbi Khorasani for the ‘richness of the cultural and mythological references and his ability to weave them into a thoroughly contemporary poetic discourse’.
