Tønsberg joined ICORN in November 2021. The hosting institution for ICORN residencies is the Tønsberg and Færder Library, shared with Færder, another ICORN City of Refuge in Vestfold County.
In 2022, Tønsberg welcomed its first ICORN resident Asia Gaboush, a journalist and writer from Sudan.
