Hamza Zirem, former guest writer in Potenza City of Refuge, has published a new book. L'exil norvégien d'un écrivain kabyle is a praise to the freedom of expression and the main character is a writer in contact with ICORN.
Hamza Zirem is an Algerian writer and poet. Mr. Zirem has published four books of poetry as well as other books. In 2007, he was forced to flee Algeria and in 2009 he became the guest writer of Potenza, Italy.
His latest novel L'exil norvégien d'un écrivain kabyle tells the story of the writer Massinissa Argaz who receiving threats and is forced to flee. He comes to Norway and gets in contact with ICORN. The novel describes the experiences of Argaz' travels and the waiting for international protection.
