Seven ICORN writers in new literary anthology, En annan stad (Another city)

The anthology En annan stad (Another City) was launched in Uppsala on November 5. Seven ICORN writers in Sweden have contributed to the publication. 

The anthology includes texts by Iman Al-Ghafari (Sigtuna), Ashraf Bagheri (Uppsala), Sahar Mousa (Stockholm), Jahanara Nuri (Linköping), Zurab Rtveliashvili (Stockholm), Diana E. Vallejo (Malmö) and Anisur Rahman (Uppsala). The book also consists of texts written by other Uppsala citizens and writers who participated in literary workshops led by Uppsala's ICORN writer in residence 2009-2011 Anisur Rahman during 2018-2019.

The book launch took place on 5 November at the Uppsala City Library.

The programme included a presentation of the book by Lars Häger and Anisur Rahman, with a following panel discussion on the roots of literature. Moderator was Ola Larsmo, writer and board member of International PEN, with participants: Kajsa Ravin, Director of Culture, Region Uppsala, Mohammed Mekrami, Head of Library, Uppsala kommun, Lotte Sederholm, Project Manager, Ge Makten Vidare/FUB, Andreas Åberg, Administrative Officer, Regional collaboration, the cultural collaboration model, The Swedish Arts Council.
