New Swedish Anthology with interviews and texts from ICORN writers

Anthology book cover. Photo

"Fria ord på flykt" is a new anthology with interviews and text from seven ICORN guest writers that have lived in exile in Sweden. The writers are presented through dialogues with Swedish  colleagues and excerpts of their poems, articles or books.

The newly released Swedish anthology "Fria ord på flykt" (free words on the run) features Svetlana Aleksijevitj, Parvin Ardalan, Faraj Bayrakdar, Li Jianhong, Taslima Nasrin, Anisur Rahman and Zurab Rtveliashvili, all current or previous ICORN guest writers in Sweden. They are presented through dialogues with Jesper Bengtsson, Ingrid Elam, Henrik C. Enbohm, Pär Hannson, Ulrika Knutsson, Ola Larsmo and Jenny Tunedal, and through excerpts of their works.

In a review of the book in Sydsvenskan the book is praised for it´s importance, as Faraj Bayrakdar explains in his dialog with Jenny Tunedal; writers and people in general who lives in democratic countries don´t reflect upon "freedom" - they are free and both writers agree that this fact bears a responsibility. According to the review the anthology introduces the reader both to the literature of the Swedish ICORN writers and their personal experiences.

The photos in the book are by Cato Lein and the introduction by Ida Börjel and Herta Müller.
