The Art of Hosting

ICORN Cities of Refuge face many new opportunities and challenges as hosts to ICORN writers and artists. Here are some links to organisations and reports that might offer some guidance, including our FAQ for cities of refuge.

  • www.transartists.org offers facts, expertise, tools and services on Dutch and international artist-in-residence programmes and related subjects. The site also offers tips on other cultural opportunities to stay and work elsewhere.
  • The Swedish Art Council, Kulturrådet, has made a handbook for Swedish cities of refuge. While some aspects are specific for Swedish cities, many will be applicable and recognizable for Cities of refuge world wide (note: available in Swedish only).
