Wasan meetingFrom July 10-15 ICORN participated at a gathering of leaders from the human rigts sector, art spaces, and artists' and culture workers' mobility networks from around the world meeting in Canada .  'This was a unique opportunity to get to know and work with other networks who's work is related to what we do' says ICORN's Programme Director Elisabeth Dyvik.  The meeting was called by freeDimensional.

Hosted at the Breuninger Foundation's Wasan Island facility near Toronto, the 5-day gathering brought together organisations like Africa Arts Institute, Res Artis, International Network for Contemporary Performing Arts (IETM), Young Arab Theatre Fund, Art Moves Africa, International Coalition of Historic Site Museums of Conscience, Latin American Network of Art for Social Transformation, Arts Network Asia, Article 19 and FREEMUSE.

Among the objectives of the meeting were to learn about each others work and sectors and discover where they overlap, and to share models and tactics and discuss their transferability across practices and geography.
