Haugesund, Norway joins ICORN

Haugesund has signed on as a City of Refuge, and is preparing to invite a Guest Writer this spring. The Municipality of Haugesund's application to ICORN came about after Stavanger City of Refuge's Guest Writer visited with a local chapter of Amnesty International in Haugesund. Inspired by his story, this group of activists managed to convince local politicians that Haugesund should join its neighbour city as an ICORN member.
The local administration of the participation in ICORN's work has been delegated to the municipal office of culture and festivals.
