On Saturday June 6th, the Norwegian Cities of Refuge participated in "Marketplace of Ideas", an event hosted by the Norwegian Peace Corps as a part of the Global Forum on Freedom of Expression program. The Marketplace consisted of several tents at the old University Square in the center of Oslo, where different organisations working with freedom of expression could present their activities.

The day also included a program of interviews, music and speeches, and former Guest Writer Mansur Rajih contributed by being interviewed on stage by Norwegian journalist and film maker Erling Borgen, as well as with a poetry reading. More than 200 people walking by were given postcards with a poem by Chenjerai Hove, as well as information about ICORN and other Guest Writers.
